hi,

I've also what seems to be the same failure: I'm using windows 7 64 bit, and installed unbutu one beta several months ago, as my main folders are on other machines powerde by ubuntu.

the first beta version ran good during several months, but sync do not work since 2011 september.
I've tried to install an re-install u1. today I ran window's unistall programm to remove U1 program, deleted the U1 folder on Hard drive, and re-install last version properly.
after launching program, an update is suggested, that I accepted, and then I get a pop up with message "getting information, please wait"

and then an other window with following message:

Ubuntu One experienced an error
---------------------------
Sorry, an error has occurred and Ubuntu One needs to close.
---------------------------
Close Hide Details...
---------------------------
by reading above posts, I don't see any solution...

hope it will come soon!
