Using this PPA:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:aapo-rantalainen/ppa-aaporantalainen
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-input-synaptics
This driver adds ability to use touchpad with xrandr --orientation.
Briefly: synclient Orientation=2 && xrandr -o 2
