PPA description

This PPA provides backports of FreeFileSync for Ubuntu LTS releases.

They are heavily patched to work with older dependencies (especially older GCC, WxWidgets & OpenSSL).

After installation, the detail of changes specific to the backport, as well as the list of specific patches can be found in:

  /usr/share/doc/freefilesync/changelog.Debian.gz

After installation, please also have a look at:

  /usr/share/doc/freefilesync/README.Debian

Adding this PPA to your system

You can update your system with unsupported packages from this untrusted PPA by adding ppa:bastif/freefilesync to your system's Software Sources. (Read about installing) 

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:bastif/freefilesync
sudo apt update
