mongodb+bwm
PPA description
Binary Ubuntu package builds for MongoDB, including any changes I've made to make them build better against Ubuntu (e.g. libmozjs on Ubuntu is non-utf8 which can cause problems, link against xulrunner instead).
The 1.0 mongodb builds require the custom spidermonkey-dev package, which is built with UTF8 from Mozilla's 1.7.0 source. I couldn't get a clean, proper build of Ubuntu's old xulrunner package with UTF8 to function. 1.1.x will work against xulrunner-1.9.1 (See my mongodb-unstable+bwm ppa for 1.1.x)
THESE ARE NOT OFFICIAL PACKAGES. Please see http://mongodb.org for source and official binary builds. (I did work off of the original debian package files that ship with the source however.)
Adding this PPA to your system
You can update your system with unsupported packages from this untrusted PPA by adding ppa:bwmcadams+launchpad/mongodb+bwm to your system's Software Sources. (Read about installing)
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:bwmcadams+launchpad/mongodb+bwm
sudo apt update
