sudo add-apt-repository ppa:darxus/sensors-applet
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install sensors-applet
# alt-right click on gnome-panel
# add to panel
# hardware sensors monitor

These steps omit what I did after to go back and apply the changes from the Debian packaging to the Ubuntu packaging in the previous release. Basically, grab the source packages from both, run debdiff on them, then add the changes to the new stuff.
