PPA for Blender 2.4 and 2.7

Provide Blender 2.4 and 2.7 packages which can be installed simultaneously. 'blender' package is Blender 2.7, and 'blender2.4' package is Blender 2.4.

The 2.7 package doesn't include pre-compiled CUDA kernel. If you want to use the Cycles renderer with CUDA support, you have to install the CUDA toolkit on your system to do runtime compilation of the CUDA kernel.

On Ubuntu 12.10 or later, you can install the CUDA toolkit as follows:

  sudo apt-get install nvidia-cuda-toolkit

Blender 2.7 package is (mostly) weekly trunk build. The build may be brought forward or be postponed when the trunk has some serious problem.

Note: WITH_RAYOPTIMIZATION=ON means enable MMX/SSE/SSE2 instructions, so the
programs cannot run on old 32bit processors like Pentium III and Athlon XP.
Such old processors are no longer officially supported by Blender Foundation.

==NOTE== The texture type number of the Planet Texture has been changed 16 -> 17 when OceanSim modifier patch was merged to trunk (r41780). So, if you open .blend file which was created using the Planet Texture before that, you have to select "Planet" in texture type menu again.

 Note that the executables in blender2.4 package are renamed to avoid conflicts between 2.4 and 2.7:
