curl

PPA for curl, a "command line tool and library for transferring data with URLs". The upstream project is at https://curl.haxx.se/. The sources packaged here, which are identical except for packaging information, are available at https://github.com/kelleyk/ppa-curl.

The upstream sources are on the `upstream` branch; the `master` branch adds packaging information. The source packages that I upload are built with the help of my `kk-debuilder` utility (described at https://github.com/kelleyk/kk-debuilder).
  $ kk-debuilder --all-since xenial --source-only

The version available in this PPA will track the most recent release tagged by the upstream project. (This isn't done automatically, however.)

This PPA currently provides packages for 16.04LTS ("xenial") and 16.10 ("yakkety"). Supporting 12.04LTS ("precise") or 14.04LTS ("trusty") would require work to backport libraries. Launchpad does not accept new uploads for obsolete (i.e. unsupported) releases.

This PPA provides packages for x86, amd64, armhf, arm64, and ppc64el.

Debug symbols are available! After adding the PPA however you normally do, find the corresponding entry in `/etc/apt/sources.list.d`.
It will look like the first line below (though the suite name may be different if you are not using xenial); duplicate it and change the component name ("main") to "main/debug".
