KDEPIM without Akonadi
PPA description
This PPA contains patched KDEPIM version 4.4 (and kaddressbook from KDEPIM 4.3) with *removed* Akonadi and Nepomuk. DEB Packages have epoch 5 so will replace Akonadi version of KDEPIM (which have epoch 4).
Here is list of KDEPIM packages without Akonadi and Nepomuk dependency:
* kaddressbook
* kalarm
* kjots
* kmail
* knode
* kontact
* korganizer
Kaddressbook was taken from KDEPIM 4.3, so it is without akonadi too.
Really this is KDE4 version of KMail wich does not use Akonadi and Nepomuk and working fine with KDE 4.10. Searching emails working too.
Ubuntu 12.04 precise packages depends on Kubuntu Backports PPA:

Now when KMail does not use Akonadi it is possible to disable starting Akonadi server:
$ sudo dpkg-divert --local --rename --add /usr/bin/akonadi_control
$ sudo dpkg-divert --local --rename --add /usr/bin/akonadiserver
$ sudo dpkg-divert --local --rename --add /usr/lib/kde4/kabc_akonadi.so
$ sudo dpkg-divert --local --rename --add /usr/lib/kde4/kcal_akonadi.so
$ sudo dpkg-divert --local --rename --add /usr/sbin/mysqld-akonadi
$ sudo dpkg-divert --local --rename --add /usr/share/autostart/akonaditray.desktop
