Restore SMB share list browsing
PPA description
This is GVFS patched to disable Windows workgroup discovery. This is a workaround for LP #1828107 in environments where SMB servers do not support the old SMB1 (NT1) protocol. Formerly, the bug prevented browsing of SMB shares on servers specified explicitly or discovered via mDNS but which did not support SMB1, even though SMB1 is not required in order to list the shares on a server. This fix allows me to discover and browse my TrueNAS devices, and may be helpful to others in a similar situation. Note that if you are using shares on an older version of Windows, or have enabled the NT1 protocol in Windows 10 (disabled by default for security reasons), these devices will no longer show up in GVFS clients (e.g. Nautilus). This patch is intended for environments that use mDNS and do not rely on the legacy NETBIOS discovery protocol at all.
