Md5 is of the image This lets us know if it the same as original.

My plan is to add a "copy" button that will copy the displayed MD5sum to the system's clipboard. From there it can be pasted into whatever you like. I'm basically done. Just cleaning up.

Oh, as I re-read this - I was on a different track. The request is to be able to generate an MD5 when the user "reads" an image from the flash drive and saves it - as verification of what was ripped from the flash vs some "original image".

I'll look into that as well - I think we already have most of the hooks in place.

We already have an md5 for images that will be written - I'll add md5 for
images that are read from flash, and I mentioned that I added the copy
feature. So we need "BOTH!!!!" what?

commit 066062 on sourceforge adds the copy button on both read and write operations that use a md5sum. When the "copy" button is clicked, the displayed md5sum is copied to the system clipboard.
