Bug Description

I don't really understand what's going wrong here, but the help text told me to contact you here.

The bug has been updated upstream but those changes are not reflected in launchpad. I'm in good contact with the bugzilla operators on bugzilla.libav.org. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do to help fixing this problem.

Having debugged this, I can see what's going on. Setting up the test case locally what LP is getting back is an HTML error page that contains "Bugzilla has suffered an internal error. Please save this page and send it to Reinhard Tartler with details of what you were doing at the time this message appeared. Cannot seem to handle bug_id and include together."

The data we POST to the URL has bug_id_type = include. If I drop that or change it to bugidtype, it works fine. I'm quite reticent to change the data dict unilaterally, just due to the wide range of bugzilla's we do update. Reinhard, what do you think?

I'm CC'ing <email address hidden>. Context, launchpad seems to have trouble
interacting with our bugzilla version. Full context at

We are using the bugzilla package taken from debian/stable, so I guess
that is not untypical and we are surely not the only project that is
affected by this bug?

Quick research shows that bugzilla 4 has this commit:
http://bzr.mozilla.org/bugzilla/4.0/revision/6940/Bugzilla/CGI.pm
I guess that using bugidtype should be just fine, but to be safe, you
can also add a version switch.

Cheers.

Thanks for fixing this. I've now received bug mail last night for over a
dozen bugwatches that could be updated because of this change :-)
