Bug Description
Binary package hint: apport
When killing daemons like dhcpd or cupsd, there is no apport logging and no crash report. Tested with SIGSEGV and SIGFPE.
Might only affect programs which start as root and drop privs later, e. g. it works with getty.

hmm, apport is not even called in this case, so this smells like a kernel bug.
