Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager-gnome

When attempting to connect to a vpnc network from network-manager, the network-manager applet dies. It will not start again until network-manager daemon and vpnc are killed off. Here's the output from daemon.log, the only real interesting output I found.

If this still does not work, do you fill in both group name and password? There is a bug that couses NM to crash when only one field of these is used.

Some setups don't need a group name/ group password, it crashes then too.

The last comment reported to this bug was a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue in the latest 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon release? Please let us know. Thanks!

The applet no longer crashes for me. However, although it says its connected properly I still can't get any data over my college's network.
