Bug Description

I would want to be able to search for packages that are translated into my languages. A searching tool where I could choose whether to search for packages that are fully, partly or not at all translated into a given language.

A further extension to this could be a quick button, that would say "Quick Translate" that would take you to an application that needed to be translated into your language.

Reasoning for this is that the current layout of the translation system is such that one has to first select a package, then check if the language you're looking for is up to date, and if so, find another package.

This list of packages means nothing to everyone who is not a power-user/developer, and is as such an extra hurdle to overcome.

If I am on my coffeebreak and feeling bored and helpful, I'd want to be logged in, and pionted by the system to where I'd be useful, instead of trying to find the place where that would be.}

Allow a filter on the package list also, which removes all packages that are already adequatly translated from the list of packages the user can see.

I think this bug is about being able to easily find something to work on in your language, so I think the proposed changes in this spec will help with this bug:

This has come up in a number of discussions recently, and shouldn't be too difficult to implement.

This is a problem in Launchpad translations not an ubuntu package bug.

Maybe you can look at this problem at the next UI sprint.

I have created here a table that might be useful:
http://l10n.ubuntu.tla.ro/jaunty-l10n-status/ro.html

You can search a package name in a clean UI and also the table is global sortable.
