Bug Description

Run Ubuntu Nexus 7 app to install nexus 7. No errors until after reboot. The error "df: warning: cannot read table of mounted filesystems: No such file or directory" is shown. Splash screen appears, then black screen. I have attempted to do it manually after checking the md5 hash, with no luck. I have used the feb 14, and feb 15th daily. Both have the same exact issue. I do realize this is still in development, but thought it best to report it, encase it gets overlooked and heads to release with this issue.

summary: - Run Ubuntu Nexus 7 app to install nexus 7. No errors until after reboot.
The error "df: warning: cannot read table of mounted filesystems: No
such file or directory" is shown. Splash screen appears, then black
screen.

I would like to add I am using the 30GB nexus 7, with wifi only. I assume the 30GB is important.

I have this exact same issue on a 16GB wifi Nexus 7. I followed the troubleshooting instructions and had the exact same result each time.

note that for the black screen there is bug 1127051 (which is unrelated to this message)

Thank you Oliver for the response. I did a verbose boot and everything looked normal, until all the text disappeared and the screen went black. Hopefully this issue will be solved soon, cause I'd really love to put Ubuntu on my Nexus 7.

i just tried with 4th March, 10 March and 11 March images: all the same behaviour, after boot i see the plymouth bootsplash and then "black screen of death".

can any of you try one of those images?

seemsingly paolo sees this issue because of luxd. a new ubuntu-defaults-nexus7 package was uploaded with luxd removed. please check if the bug still persists with a recent image.
