Bug Description
Binary package hint: mplayer
Hi, enca is a tool to do various magic around some (mostly slovanian) encodings such as guessing a documents encoding, converting it and so on. Mplayer can use it to determine encoding of subtitles it plays, which is very useful if you have subtitles in languages supported by enca as is my case (i.e. you od not have to set encoding manually, mplayer guesses it correctly automagically).
Steps to reproduce: put a line subcp=enca:
Workaround: compile mplayer yourself with libenca-dev isntalled.
Proposed solution: compile the package mplayer with enca, it detects libenca-dev (it has dependency to libenca0, for thoe whole thing ot work enca must be installed as well) automatically.
