seeking through video quickly freezes UI on nexus 4

Bug Description
Device: Nexus4
Image: 20130418
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open the 'Sintel' video
2. touch the screen and click the progress bar to bring up the thumbnail view
3. use the thumbnail selection to quickly switch between several scenes
The UI will and movie playback will mostly stop functioning. I can seem to pause/unpause it and get audio back, but video will not resume with it.
*Note:
This only seems to work for me using the Sintel video.
