Bug Description

I flashed the latest image on maguro and apps do not start, they crash on startup, also it seems powerd is going crazy and is crashing and starting again and again.

1. phablet-flash --pending (to install the latest unpublished image)
2. try to start any app.

Terminal shows:

phablet@ubuntu-phablet:~$ camera-app --desktop_file_hint="/usr/share/applications/camera-app.desktop"
__pthread_gettid -2
linkerlinker.c:1095| ERROR: Library 'libPVROGL.so' not found

Also dmesg shows:

i have no issues starting the camera app like above from grouper ...

i also have no issues starting the camera app from the UI on maguro ...

but i observe the exact same error running it from the commandline ...
the powerd issues as well as the moaning about the library are unrelated btw (powerd doesnt affect app execution, the lib is simply not shipped at all in android (and never was)) ...

so after being pointed to bug 1201116 it seems this is shell related ...

a) unity8 eats a lot of ram and cpu while (and bbefore) the above bug shows up (top showed 52% CPU and 25% RAM here)
b) restarting unity8 gets this back to a sane state and the starting of the app works fine

can you please try to comment the line for the /factory mount in /etc/fstab and reboot ... for me this fixes it here ...

The fix for bug 1205285, which went into the 20130716.1 image indeed seems to have fixed this for us. Duping to that one
Thanks Oliver!
