Summary is used in more places that description. Description is used in one place and that where we see the redundancy.

summary: - Drop .summary for distroseries
+ Drop .description for distroseries

A .description can be multiple paragraphs, and as such, it should appear only on the Overview page for an object. It's not a bug that it's used only in that place.

<https://dev.launchpad.net/RegistrySimplifications> proposed that .summary, not .description, be dropped consistently for Product, Productrelease, Project, and Distroseries. .summary would be retained only for Productseries (since it is a single-line field and in that case it would be inaccurate to call it a .displayname).
