autocomplete not working with escaped characters

Bug Description
After installing 14.04, bash's autocomplete is failing to complete anything which ends in an escaped character, like a space or parentheses.
If I type
ls myfile\(
and press tab once or more, nothing happens, even if files myfile(* exist.
Instead, it should do a unique autocomplete (tab) or list all options (double tab), like it used to
