Installation went ok right until the final part where it installs the GRUB bootloader. It failed at that point. I chose to install OpenGEU into one of three logical partitions, with the bootloader in the root partition which in my case is /dev/sda11.

I use Bootit NG to launch different OS's. I found I had to temporarily uninstall this completely during install of other Ubuntu8.04-based distro's so that the partitioner would detect all my partitions without hanging at the pre-install phase.
