Most likely this failed in the addgroup call. Can you please open a terminal, run

  sudo addgroup --quiet --system netdev

and copy&paste the result here?

Result of this command (sudo addgroup --quiet --system netdev) is nothing (in terminal)

option --quiet - don't give process information to stdout

  sudo addgroup --system netdev; echo $?
