Bug Description

The bug report

 https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12407

describes a repeatable bug by which clicking on the menu bar of a KDE app will, in certain circumstances, cause the entire XFCE4 session to freeze with the only option to kill the X session, losing unsaved work.

The maintainer responded that the bug has been fixed in the commit

from 18 May 2015. However that commit has not made it into the Ubuntu 15.10 or 16.04 package.

Can the packages be brought up-to-date with respect to this important bugfix?

What do we need to do to get this moving forward? The commit above, by the lead XFCE4 developer, is not in even the xenial xfwm4 package.
