Bug Description
Xen 3.1 / Ubuntu 7.10, kernel 2.6.22-14-xen
I installed the Xen packages available in synaptic package manager so I can start using Xen on my laptop. I get the following problem:
graphic login screen appears
enter credentials
starts to load
receive the following error:
=======
Your session only lasted less than 10 seconds. If you not logged out yourself, this could mean there is some installation problem or that you may be out of diskspace. Try logging in with one of the failsafe to see if you can fix this problem.

This is not a supported use of GTK+. You must create a helper program instead. For further details see:

Refusing to initialize GTK+.
=======
After click 'ok', GDM restarts as if a CTRL+Backspace was hit.
I revert back to 2.6.22-13-generic kernel and everything is fine.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at [WWW] https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/Bugs/ FindRightPackag e. I have classified this bug as a bug in gdm
Also as there would be problmes in Xorg, could you post this:
Please attach your X server configuration file (/etc/X11/ xorg.conf) and X server log file (/var/log/ Xorg.0. log) to the bug report as individual uncompressed file attachments using the "Attachment:" box below. Could you please also try to run without any /etc/X11/xorg.conf and let Xorg autodetect your display and video card? Please also attach the /var/log/Xorg.0.log from this attempt. Thanks in advance.
