Bug Description

Impact
------
I reported this crash to GNOME since we were getting hundreds of reports about it. It should be fixed in gnome-maps 3.24.2

Test Case
----------
Check the errors.ubuntu.com page for any reports of this issue from 3.24.2

This error can also be reproduced by:
1. From Ubuntu GNOME, add your Google account to GNOME Settings>Online Accounts (gnome-control-center)
2. Your Google Account should have some contacts with addresses
3. Restart your computer. It looks like gnome-maps uses evolution-data-server and the restart seemed necessary.
4. Open the Maps app and search for one of your contacts. Click the contact's address.
5. Close Maps. With gnome-maps 3.24.0 in Zesty, I got a crash report to appear as /var/crash/_usr_bin_gjs-console.1000.crash even though the app didn't look like anything crashed.

Regression Potential
--------------------
This is being bundled with the gnome-maps 3.24.2 update, so see LP: #1685513

Hello errors.ubuntu.com, or anyone else affected,

Accepted gnome-maps into zesty-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-maps/3.24.2-0ubuntu0.1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation on how to enable and use -proposed.Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help us make a better decision.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in advance!

I'm going to go ahead and mark this verified. errors.ubuntu.com is associating this error with gjs instead of with gnome-maps which makes this more difficult to fully verify. If this fix works, then the number of crashes reported from Ubuntu 17.04 will drop significantly once this update is fully published. There are no reports of this error with Ubuntu 17.10 even though I've seen other errors reported from GNOME packages with 17.10 already.

Oh, and I was able to do the Test Case without an error being recorded from gnome-maps 3.24.2-0ubuntu0.1 on Ubuntu GNOME 17.04.

Usually we see a crash reported about an application like update-manager where the crash is actually in aptdaemon which is a dependency of update-manager. I can then query the instances in a bucket in the Error Tracker to find out the version of the dependent package, however this isn't possible given that gnome-maps doesn't appear in any part of the crash reports for this bucket. I think this is an oversight in apport and we should somehow collect information about gnome-maps.

Maybe parsing this in the apport-package hook for gjs would work?

ProcCmdline
/usr/bin/gjs /usr/share/gnome-maps/org.gnome.Maps --gapplication-service

Then looking up what package provides "/usr/share/gnome-maps/org.gnome.Maps" and stuffing that in the report.
