Accepted ubuntu-image into eoan-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-image/1.8+19.10ubuntu1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

All autopkgtests for the newly accepted ubuntu-image (1.8+19.04ubuntu1) for disco have finished running.

I have verified ubuntu-image 1.8+19.10ubuntu1 on my eoan system. Was able to generate bootable ubuntu-core and classic images.

I have verified ubuntu-image 1.8+19.04ubuntu1 on a disco multipass instance. Was able to generate bootable ubuntu-cora and classic images as well.

Next, I have verified ubuntu-image 1.8+18.04ubuntu1 on a bionic multipass instance. Was also able to generate bootable ubunut-core and classic images.

So, ubuntu-image 1.8+16.04ubuntu1 for xenial also seems to be good to go. I was able to successfully build a bootable ubuntu-core image. The classic image had some issues with livecd-rootfs that required tweaking, but the same issues were present in the 1.7 release - so nothing caused by u-i.

The verification of the Stable Release Update for ubuntu-image has completed successfully and the package is now being released to -updates. Subsequently, the Ubuntu Stable Release Updates Team is being unsubscribed and will not receive messages about this bug report. In the event that you encounter a regression using the package from -updates please report a new bug using ubuntu-bug and tag the bug report regression-update so we can easily find any regressions.
