Bug Description

Looks like the release is hard coded, or a screen did not get updated..
It shows the right logo for 22.10, but states Ubuntu version is 22.04.

It does not sound like this is an ubuntu-release-upgrader bug, but I can help you find the right package. Which screen are you referring to exactly? A screenshot would help if possible.

They initial login screen for userid/password.

Has the leaping deer (antilope?) On it.
Will have to use my phone to take a pic when I get home.

Updated for the current serie now, closing for Kinetic that it doesn't make much sense to fix it there at this point

This bug was fixed in the package unity-greeter - 23.10.1-0ubuntu1

unity-greeter (23.10.1-0ubuntu1) mantic; urgency=medium

  * Include a .rules compatible with the new polkit versions
  * Update the packaging to the current version, remove old code
    to clean a conffile which isn't needed anymore
  * debian/rules:
    - Updated the logo version for the new serie (lp: #1997999)
