Light Mantic wallpaper by default is jarring

Bug Description

I love the idea of new Mantic dev wallpaper, that arrived with recent updates, to distinguish it from the release version. But I find the light color very jarring. Easy enough to switch to the dark version, but most other OSes I've seen have a dark or colorful wallpaper by default, not a very light one – even in "light mode".

@Daniel, I think the request there was rather to have the dark by default, the upload added a dark variant but it isn't in use unless you toggle it

Yes, I was trying to say that I find the light variant seems too bright for the default, even in "light mode".

It's a lot lighter than the release wallpapers have been IIRC and lighter than other OSes' default wallpapers.

But mostly my opinion and the dark variant is easy to switch to, so I understand if you disagree :-)
