Bug Description

Hi,

Since cups-deb has been finally chosen, this useful button is missing.
At least, system-config-printer should be offered in apps list, not only in command line.

Thanks for the report. we stopped to include the system-config-printer by default and removed the button from settings because it's a legacy application and we believe that the settings should do most of what is needed. You are right though that we should enable back the ;.desktop so users who install the utility can find it easily

affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) → system-config-printer (Ubuntu)

  * debian/patches/Hide-Printers-app-in-GNOME-and-KDE.patch: include the
    .desktop again in GNOME sessions, the access button was removed from
     settings and the GUI isn't installed by default (lp: #2034895)
