[hardy] octave appears by itself in science menu

Bug Description

Binary package hint: octave3.0

Octave appears to be the only application in the "Science" menu in KDE. Similar applications, such as Euler and Kig, are in the Education/Mathematics menu.

While the organization of the science related programs could be discussed, it should certainly be consistent; consequently the menu entry for Octave ought to move to the Education/Mathematics menu.

The desktop entry for octave was introduced in the fix-release of bug #118286

Attached debdiff should remedy the situation...

The above patch does not work, because debian/patches/00list gets overwritten during the build. Thus, the patch does not get applied.

I have now edited the file debian/in/octave3.0-00list instead of just debian/patches/00list, because octave maintains it's own simple versioning system in debian/in.

So, try again with a new debdiff...

This bug was fixed in the package octave3.0 - 1:3.0.0-9ubuntu1

---------------
octave3.0 (1:3.0.0-9ubuntu1) hardy; urgency=low

  * Fixed octave's desktop entry, so it appears in the Education
    menu together with the other math packages such as Euler and Kig
    (LP: #209701). The fix is applied as a patch.
    Files affected:
     - debian/control (maintainer-munge)
     - debian/changelog
     - patches/51_fix_desktop_entry.dpatch (new file)
     - patches/00list

In my start menu, octave shows up twice:

in Education->Mathematics
in Education->Science

I don't know if octave really belongs to Education (for me it would be a more scientific application than an educational one). But in every case, octave should only show up once (in my start menu octave is the one and only application in both of these sub-menus...).

I know that Mathematica, a commercial maths package, is located in Science and Mathematics, where I searched for octave in the first place too.
