There were a few other instances of "occurred" being spelled as "occured". This debdiff adds a patch that should correct this issue. There were a few instances where "occured" was used inside a comment in the code. I did not correct this issue in order to keep the patch small. Also, the normal user will never see the comments.

pidgin (1:2.4.2-2ubuntu2) intrepid; urgency=low

  * Add 75_occured-occurred.patch (LP: #217916)
    - Replaces "occured" with "occurred"

I really filed this bug here because I couldn't be bothered to file upstream. I will forward it now.

Fixed upstream. I now regret not filing it there earlier.

you should really send upstream bugs directly upstream if you can since nobody is actively looking at the piding ubuntu bugs at the moment and the right place to get upstream issues fixed is upstream usually, also not sure if the change is worth uploading rather than waiting for a new version

alright, I'm sponsoring the upload since a contributor worked on it, but next time you might just want to wait for the next upstream version for such changes especially when a new distribution cycle just started

I realise that, I just couldn't be bothered to register for an upstream account. In the future, all relevant bugs will go upstream straight away.
