Bug Description

The sticky notes applet exapands the note every note so the text fits into the note.

But if you paste big chunks of text it will expand below the screen. And it's
impossible to shrink it since the controllers to modify the size of the note are
below the screen.

It needs a scrollbar.

Thanks for your bug. It was already reported upstream:
http://bugs.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121883

As long as upstream is working on this (and they, too, suggested the scrollbar),
you can workaround this by holding the alt key and moving with the left mouse
key and resizing with the middle mouse key.

This bug is more than 5 years old. It is a major nuisance for many people, but probably not that difficult to fix.

How can we interest a developer to have a go at it? Is there any hope?

Hey guys.
I just added the patch to http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121883 but since I downloaded the source using APT I'm also adding it here :)

Please comment or inform me of the correct way of doing this, cause I would like to get some form of credit, since I'm going to make many more patches in the near future ;o)

you can subscribe ubuntu-main-sponsors to the bug for review or wait on upstream comments, for upstream changes it's usually a good idea to wait for upstream comments before asking to packagers to ship the change
