Bug Description

Binary package hint: synaptic

The "Properties" window for a package mentions which version is installed, and what the latest version available is. But it doesn't mention which repository either of these versions come from.

With the rise of PPAs, it's quite likely that you will have multiple repositories with different versions of the same package, so it's important to be able to tell which repository is providing a particular package version.

I'd like to suggest it the following way:

The package Properties dialog, Common and Versions tabs, should say in full what PPA or other repo the installed version & the other listed versions are from, or whether they are from a local .deb.

Packages whose origin is "local" should still show what repo (if any) they came from, with a note saying that the repo was disabled by the user.
