Bug Description

Binary package hint: xorg

My config file does not have a 'Device' identifier for the 'Screen' section.
Yet my Xorg runs fine (without any errors or warning in the log file).

The manpage for 'xorg.conf' says "The Identifier and Device entries are mandatory. All others are optional."

Perhaps the manpage is outdated?

Yes, the manpage is probably a bit outdated.

man xorg.conf states that the 'Device' identifier is required in the 'Screen' section, yet in reality X will default properly without it. Attached patch updates man page.

Here's a more thorough patch. This removes one more mention of the mandatoriness of this optional parameter.
