Thank you for reporting this bug and helping make Ubuntu better. I looked up evo-rss, and the currently available binary package is version 0.0.8, as reported by apt-cache policy:

hggdh@xango2:/usr/src/buildd $ apt-cache policy evolution-rss
evolution-rss:
  Installed: 0.0.8-0ubuntu1
  Candidate: 0.0.8-0ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 0.0.8-0ubuntu1 0
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/universe Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

Looking at the installed files, I noticed it is installing the plugin under /usr/lib/evolution/2.22 -- *very* wrong for Intrepid since Evolution on Intrepid is 2.24.

I then downloaded the source, and -- to my surprise -- the source is V0.1.0, newer than the available package. Nevertheless, building from the source package fails.

Searching LP I found bug 263834 about the FTBFS on 0.1.0.

I am not sure -- I did not yet get the source for 0.0.8 -- but I am betting it would not work on Intrepid's Alpha6 anyways.

So I am confirming this bug, and changing the description to reflect the real issue (current 0.0.8 is incompatible with Evolution > 2.22).

Evolution RSS 0.1.0 is now out, and is building in intrepid. Is this still a problem?

I do not think so. The builds completed successfully, and I am just waiting for them to hit the repositories to close this one.

How long does it typically take to get a package into the main Intrepid
mirrors?

Given that this was rebuilt 5 days ago now.

Just wondering... and missing my RSS feeds.

It was built then, but it was uploaded only yesterday.

Depending on your mirror and other factors it can take between a couple
of hours and a couple of days for the fix to arrive.
