From reading multiple bug reports/diff looks like it fixes Bug #240356, Bug #273586 and Bug #230740.

Ubuntu -> Ubuntu debdiff to merge these changes. Subscribing u-u-s for sponsoring. Builds fine in an Intrepid chroot.
