Bug Description

Binary package hint: pidgin-otr

Hello,
I installed pidgin-otr and noticed that the whole GUI of the plugin is untranslated (at least not translated into German). Would be great it that could be improved in future versions.
Thanks!

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I use Intrepid. So the plugin version is 3.2.0-1. And according to http://www.cypherpunks.ca/otr/ there should be a translation.
Thanks again.

By the way: The windows version is in fact translated and there exist different .po translation files in the tarball. So I think this should be a package issue.

Thank you for filing this bug. I can approve this for Intrepid and a quick check of the corresponding Jaunty package revealed that the localization is not yet integrated there either.

Is there a possibility that this still gets into Jaunty? It's a small patch i think :D

T-Bone , did you also take a look at the other bugs? Those are not really only packaging bugs, but really ugly ones sometimes. E.g. bug #307964, about which are several mails on the mailing list, but without any answer from the devs yet.
Or the simple seeming bug #303474 .

Thanks for your help! :)

This should get into Ubuntu as soon as possible. The upload should contain .pot file, since that's the only way translations can be done for a Ubuntu release (not only upstream translations included).

As you can see at https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/jaunty/+source/pidgin-otr/+imports , there are .po files in queue but no .pot file.

This bug was fixed in the package pidgin-otr - 3.2.0-3ubuntu1

---------------
pidgin-otr (3.2.0-3ubuntu1) jaunty; urgency=low

  * debian/control:
    - build-depends on intltool
  * debian/rules:
    - call intltool-update so the translation template is updated (lp: #296050)
