Installation problem on HP Blade with the ILO Remote Console

On a Proliant DL360 ist exactly the same situation. I have to add fb800x600 in the /boot/grub/menu.list.

To avoid problems with update-grub, i used the following modifications in /boot/grub/menu.lst:

# kopt=root=/dev/cciss/c0d0p1 ro fb800x600
# defoptions=quiet

I try the Gutsy Tribe 5 gutsy-server-amd64.iso Server CD and had no problems to install and booting the system.

This bug has had no activity for a considerable period. This is a check to see if there is still interest in investigating this bug report.
It appears this may have been corrected in later releases.

Marking 'Fix Released' as the original reporter stated that gutsy tribe 5 is working.

Opening a dapper task.

Can you test with the latest version of dapper 6.06.2 ?

Yes, I will try a installation with Dapper 6.06.2 and report the status.

I tested the 6.06.2 server cd without success. I see the first screen, but I have to specifify 800x600 with the F4 key. Without F4, i see only a black sreen. I upgraded the ILO Firmware to the last release before I test the 6.06.2.

Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. The version of Ubuntu referenced in this issue has reached end of life, and the issue is fixed in newer versions of Ubuntu. Therefore, I am closing the Dapper task.
