Bug Description

libdvdread 4.1.3-3ubuntu1 does not export DVDFileStat, so dvdbackup failed to build against it:

Here is the debdiff for merging libdvdread 4.1.3-4 from Debian unstable. It builds fine with pbuilder.

libdvdread (4.1.3-4ubuntu1) jaunty; urgency=low

  * Merge from Debian unstable, remaining changes (LP: #330754):
    - Re-add missing install-css.sh
    - debian/control: add Suggests for install-css.sh
    - debian/rules: install install-css.sh, leave perms executable.

Are you sure the debdiff was correct? Because I don't see any Ubuntu changes in the debdiff. Also the changelog includes Debian entry, and the patch that is supposed to be in Debian version also shows up in debdiff.

This debdiff contains the difference between 4.1.3-3ubuntu2 and 4.1.3-4ubuntu1. That's the reason why you see the Debian changes.

When merging a package from Debian, the debdiff should contain difference between Debian version and proposed Ubuntu version.

Anyway, since the package is already uploaded there is nothing left to do. But please keep this in mind for any further merges you work on.
