Bug Description
When I plug my Canon 350D (Digital Rebel XT) into USB port, a message "Would you like to import photos?" appears, but nothing really happens. When I try to do it manually from Gthumb, ite tells me that drivers cannot be found, though libgphoto is present in the system (2.1.6-1ubuntu6).

Hmm, in #2767 you stated that the import itself works. So is there a regression from an earlier version, did you try this on another computer, or what changed?
Please install the "gphoto2" package from universe, do
gphoto2 --auto-detect --debug 2> gphoto2- autodetect. log
and attach gphoto2- autodetect. log here. Thanks!
