Bug Description

Binary package hint: mercurial

The last (apparently automatic) upgrade for Mercurial in the Karmic repository was evidently built against Python 2.5, making it uninstallable on Karmic, which uses Python 2.6

Interesting, package doesn't build correctly. That's probably between 1.1.2 and 1.2.1 debian/rules was rewritten. Attached patch adds --install-layout=deb to setup.py install call which fixes this issue.
