Bug Description

Well in advance of the Dapper final release, we must confirm the following functionality in a test environment:

- Closing Dapper to all uploads
- Creation of Edgy based on Dapper, archive comparison with Dapper
- Processing of uploads to Edgy
- Builds for Edgy
- Pockets for Dapper (-updates and -security)

My time is limited during the remainder of the release, but I will help where I can.

initialiseFromParent works fine and produce expected results, which copes with publisher, so http://dogfood.ubuntu.com archive has edgy opened.

Source uploads to edgy worker too. Pending chroots for edgy (at least i386 one) and testing for build and binary paths.

Adam,

Could you help me to build a test edgy chroot and track any issues/updates on the dogfood builders (molo & ferraz) ?

Yup, I can prep chroots for all arches in the next 24/48 hours, if that's quick enough for you. I'll give them a final refresh right before release but, in theory, they should be good to go from the day I prep them. (and certainly good enough for our current testing)

chroots are expected tomorrow morning, also investigating new apt-ftparchive performance.

things went well in mawson, mdz raised some issues which might be cause by releasing dapper with non-empty queues and with relative old DB (18th May). However the big-picture is fine.

A large number of builds were retried for edgy (it was expected), a experimental kernel from BenC was succesfully built.

What else you want us to test before open edgy in production ?

The procedure is scheduled for tomorrow morning (we plan to backup archive and DB), kiko & stub will be around.
