Bug Description

Binary package hint: evince

evince: 2.27.90-0ubuntu6

Print preview on gnumeric (1.9.9-1ubuntu1) isn't working and in .xsession-errors I see:

** (evince:13046): WARNING **: Error launching previewer: Failed to execute child process "evince-previewer" (Permission denied)

and in dmesg I see:

[35965.891329] type=1503 audit(1251041445.050:28): operation="exec" pid=13048 parent=13047 profile="/usr/bin/evince" requested_mask="::x" denied_mask="::x" fsuid=1000 ouid=0 name="/usr/bin/evince-previewer"

I can repro this bug on my karmic system as well. Maybe it's possible to tweak the apparmor profiles to make it go away? (i.e. /etc/apparmor.d/usr.bin.evince or something similar for gnumeric?)

  * debian/apparmor-profile: allow transition to /usr/bin/evince-previewer
    LP: #417736
  * debian/evince.postinst: use '-T -W' instead of touch when reloaded the
    profile
  * debian/control*: versioned Suggests on apparmor >= 2.3.1+1403-0ubuntu13
    for the above change
