Bug Description
Binary package hint: oprofile
I'm trying to sanity check some spurious results obtained using the (default) armv7 performance monitor counter configuration of oprofile on armel, but the timer-only profiling mode doesn't seem to work for me: I can load the oprofile module with the timer=1 argument and run opcontrol as normal, but oprofiled complains that no events were specified.
However, it is not usual to specify events in timer-only mode, and trying to do so causes errors in the opcontrol script.
See the attached shell transcript for an example of what happens.
