Bug Description

Binary package hint: festival

There is a bug in lib/hts.scm file. It is shown here:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=751169
and here:
http://lists.berlios.de/pipermail/festlang-talk/2007-September/000516.html

This bug may affect the quality of the synthesised speech if the voice is hts-type.

I attach a patch file that should be placed at debian/patches, so quilt can apply it.

This bug is present from festival-1.96~beta to festival-1.96~beta-10

festival (1:2.0.95~beta-1) unstable; urgency=low

  [ Kartik Mistry ]
  * debian/control:

    festival with ALSA (Closes: #567514, #584634)
  * debian/rules:
    + Used dh_prep instead of obsolete dh_clean -k
    + dh_testdir and dh_testroot don't need -a argument
  * debian/source/format:
    + Updated to use source format 3.0 (quilt)

  [ Kumar Appaiah ]

  * debian/source/format:
    + Revert to 1.0 to avoid quilt patching problems.
  * debian/control:
    + Depend on new speech-tools.

    + Patch from Javier M Mora for fixing Emacs functionality
