There is a wrong color rendering for PNGs (I attached teh png file).
Red is rendered as fc0000 (slightly wrong)
Green is rendered as 00ff00 (correct)
Blue is rendered as 6800ff (very wrong!)

The same file saved as GIF is rendered correctly.

It is a bug with the color management in Firefox 3.6
This is a page to check if the CM is working properly in your browser:
http://www.color.org/version4html.xalter

And this:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6891/eula/76670?src=addondetail
Is an add-on to manage the color managing easily (instead of tampering with about:config)

Hope it helps!

I've installed it (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6891/eula/76670?src=addondetail) and still has a problem with color. Can anyone tell how to fixed it with config or in any other way ??

Even on new firefox 13 on ubuntu 12.04 also same problem not only PNG image but also JPG.

I also test color rendering with BMP image, I did't found any problem.

I think icc profile or image decoder was the cause of the problem.

no longer affects: firefox-3.5 (Ubuntu)
