This is not just about one applet. Several people are experiencing these app errors on startup. Try a search on "The panel encountered a problem while loading" which is the first half of the error message.

I believe my problems started after I installed Kubuntu on top of my Ubuntu. Logging out and back in does not recreate the problem and the apps that did not load, are working again. Im using 9.10 and had the errors, now upgraded to 10.04 alpha 3 and still experiencing the errors.
