Thanks for your work. I have uploaded it after applying these small changes:
* ran update-maintainer
* mention patch file in debian/changelog
* remove Debian bug reference from debian/changelog. We cannot fix bugs in Debian by uploading it to Ubuntu.
* adjust Launchpad reference

Please forward 50-remove-invalid-const.dpatch to the Debian bug report.
