Binary package hint: debian-installer

Ubuntu Studio Alternate i386 HW detection claims that No network interfaces are detected on a EeePC with wired and wireless devices.

Are there any logs you can give me (the installer syslog, if you can extract it)?

What network devices does this system have? Please quote the PCI IDs if you can.

I have the same problem.
I was trying to install ubuntu 10.04 beta2 alternate amd64. (the icon of the installer from the desktop version crashes as soon as i start it).
My computer is toshiba portege r500-12r, with wired, wifi, umts network cards. With ubuntu 9.10, all the three work fine.
The 10.04 installer says "No network interfaces detected".
If I go on with the installation, i can install ubuntu and when i boot it, it detects only the wifi and the umts network cards.

Ok, problem solved.
I don't know why, the wired network was disabled in bios.
I enabled it, now all works fine.
