According to syslog, the problem is that /etc/cluster/cluster.conf does not yet exist:

Jul 8 22:33:24 localhost ccsd[3797]: The appropriate config file could not be loaded.
Jul 8 22:33:24 localhost ccsd[3797]: Error while processing connect: No data available
Jul 8 22:33:24 localhost clvmd: Cannot login in to CCSD server

Rather annoyingly, launchpad refuses to assign this bug to the clvm package.

U can create skeleton conf file by: ccs_tool create
but next problem is bug 56496:

Ive the same problem:

Setting package from (undefined) to dpkg, so the bug won't appear in the list of bugs without package.
Also can you confirm this bug still applies in edgy/feisty?
